London, UK, March 29, 2022 - 10x Banking (10x), the financial technology firm that is disrupting the core banking sector, has been recognized as one of the most influential and high-ranking firms in the FinTech sector.
10x features in the recently announced Most Influential Financial Technology Firms of 2022 list, produced annually by Harrington Starr’s The Financial Technologist. Now in its fifth year the list features the brightest and most dynamic companies in the industry. This accolade is testament to the efforts of everyone at 10x who is united in the firm’s mission to transform banking. Despite banking being an essential part of everyday life for most people, dealing with finances is often boring or intimidating. 10x Banking was created to make banking ten times better for banks, their customers, and society”. The focus of the firm is on improving peoples’ lives by making it easier, faster, cheaper, and better to engage with their finances.
Also this month, The Financial Technology Report (FTR) awarded a place on its highly coveted Top 50 Financial Technology CEOs of 2022 list to Antony Jenkins CBE, Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer at 10x Banking. Selected for the impact he is making on the core banking sector, and his success in building a firm that is on a mission to be the global bank operating system of choice, Antony was also recognized for his commitment to driving the digital economy beyond the boundaries of 10x; he serves as Group Chairman of Currencies Direct, the leading U.K. non-bank provider of foreign exchange and international payment services, a Board Member of Blockchain, the world’s leading software platform for digital assets, and Board Director for U.S. mortgage lending giant Fannie Mae. Jenkins is also an external member of the Prudential Regulation Committee.
Additionally, he is committed to advancing digital education and skills in the workforce; his dedication to the advancement of learning is recognized in his role at the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, which he led as Chair through to the summer of 2021.
Before creating 10x, Jenkins served as Group CEO of Barclays plc for three years. He was awarded a CBE for services to business in the Queen’s Birthday Honors in June 2021.
Commenting on both awards, Jenkins said: “Having our purpose and efforts recognized by these two highly acclaimed organizations is incredibly rewarding. When I launched 10x in 2016 there were two questions that I wanted to solve. One – why don’t banks work better for their customers? And two – why hasn’t technology created true transformation in the financial services industry? As a business we have applied our deep financial industry domain expertise and cloud native technology understanding to provide a platform that is fully fit for purpose, has enabled us to secure $187 million Series C funding, and is now used by leading global financial institutions including JPMorgan Chase and Westpac.”
